Assistant Vice President of Marketing

Reports to: Vice President of Marketing, Enactus George Brown

Location: George Brown College, St. James Campus

Length of Position: Two semesters, Renewable 

 

Role Overview: 

The Assistant VP of Marketing supports the VP of Marketing with overseeing the strategic planning, implementation, and tracking of marketing initiatives. In the event that the VP of Marketing resigns or graduates, the Assistant will take over the position of VP of Marketing to support the team.

 

Key Responsibilities:

The Assistant VP of Marketing performs a range of duties including some or all of the following:

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional marketing associates of each project to deliver marketing initiatives 
  • Support the implementation of Enactus George Brown and Projects’ marketing priorities across a variety of channels, including social media, presentation support, event planning, sponsorships, content development, thought leadership creation, newsletter development 
  • Support the execution of issues-based, sector specific campaigns to build image, drive differentiation and generate leads plus measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns
  • Provide value-added resources and reports by responding to requests for information from partners on clients, targets, alumni, management, etc. 
  • Develop and collaborate with program team in writing competition’s story, media interviews, presentation team, script, video and slides
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with the President and internal project marketing associates


Required Knowledge & Skills

The Assistant VP of Marketing must be a George Brown College Student with a:

  • Desire to make a positive impact on other students and various demographics in need
  • Excellent interpersonal and supervisory skills, as well as the ability to build strong working relationships with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders 
  • Self-starter willing to take-on challenges with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to research, and write briefings, reports, and presentations. Experience in Project Management, is an asset 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint and Project & Google Drive
  • Sound judgment, professionalism and communications skills are necessary, as is the ability to work to strict deadlines.


Working Conditions:

  • The Assistant VP of Marketing, depending on the project and events scheduled, may be required to work 20-25 hours a week
  • Enactus George Brown offers the office for use, if needed, but depending on the purpose of the project and location of the event, it may take them to non-standard workplaces.
